Kitchen and Housewares Reviews of Trudeau Garlic Press, BlackCustomer Review: worth every penny Summary: 5 Stars
Bought this garlic press thanks to the other reviewers. I had the oxo one which essentially just mashed the garlic down to the bottom of the press. This one works a million and one times better. Presses almost all the garlic, so just a slight pulp left in the bottom of the press. Can do 2-3 cloves at once. Does take a bit of grip strength to use, but I did not find that to be an issue. I gave the oxo one to my boyfriend but we ended up just throwing it away as it was fairly useless.
Customer Review: Does the job with ease Summary: 5 Stars
After stuggling with a cheap plastic press, this is nirvana. I haven't tried more than one clove yet but it works like a charm with one. One press and it's through. My plastic one required me to cut the clove in half, press, try to move the remainder around with a pick, press again, then throw in the towel. It cleans as easily as any press of this design will. Clean it as soon as you use it, 'cause if you let garlic dry in the holes of ANY press, you'll wish you hadn't.
Customer Review: You need this garlic press Summary: 5 Stars
Do you really need a garlic press? Yes! A good garlic press ruptures the membranes producing a more well-developed garlic flavor and the fine, consistent pieces produce a consistent texture in your dishes. The Trudeau Garlic press is solidly made, extremely easy to clean, has no removable pieces, has a generous hopper, was simple and comfortable to operate, and does not require the hand strength of a super hero. Garlic is good for you - squeeze and enjoy!
Customer Review: Great Garlic Press Summary: 5 Stars
We use a ton of garlic in our house and I am always looking for an easier way to chop/mince my garlic. I recently got the Trudeau press and love it. It has a nice weight in the hand ( I hate when the press feels too light) and does a good job with the mincing. Also, I was able to get more than one clove in it...another plus. It's fairly easy to clean (handle flips around to press out the sticking pieces) AND it goes into the dishwasher.
Customer Review: Beats the cheap junk Summary: 5 Stars
We use this press for garlic and onion for guacamole because we have friends that won't eat shaken spices (go figure). Run it under hot water right away and cleanup is a cinch. The plastic cleaner thing works well, but don't put it in the dishwasher. This tool is heavy and feels like it is meant for business, however it has now been 3 years since I purchased this item and today when I went to squish a rather large clove the hinge broke.
