Customer Review: Perfect travel mug!

I was looking for a travel mug that was on a wish list, and came across this. I was shocked, as I have this mug! I bought it several years ago from a certain popluar bookstore that shall remain nameless. They must've been promoting it as it as their name on the bottom, but it's definitely the same mug. I love this mug. It fits in my cupholder very nicely. Maybe it won't fit in all, but with the spill-proof top, I've tossed it on my seats with no leaks. (And with my driving, that says a lot.) I noticed a couple reviews that said it leaks once opened. I have noticed a small amount will hang near the opening, and on rare occasion a few drops will drip off. This is solved by sipping that last little sip or tipping it sideways and dabbing it with a napkin after closing it. Once the top is closed, I've never had a leak. That seal is solid. As soon as I got this mug, it reminded me of the old Thermos my grandparents left in their cold car all day to keep their coffee hot. And oh my gosh does it keep things hot. I have burned myself several times from underestimating this thing. Many times I've expected luke warm coffee only to shriek in pain at the hot coffee pouring down my throat.
I also get tons of compliments on this mug. The "leather-like" red exterior is very stylish. I thought it was real leather until I was reminded on this description that it is not. My only complaint: Upon purchase it stated that it is not submersible due to the "leather-like" exterior. I wish it was. I would have an easier time if I could toss it in a sinkful of hot water to let it soak, especially since I have a bad habit of not rinsing it and leaving cream and sugar sitting in there for a few days. Not to say I don't get it wet, it gets wet every time I wash it. The exterior does not show any sign that it had been wet, I just make sure to towel it dry after I wash it so the cloth doesn't get saturated. It seems like pretty sturdy material, but I'm not going to push it. (At least I know where to buy a new one if I ever wreck mine!) And yes, I will be buying this one as a gift. ;)
