This is a well constructed travel mug. [it I'll take some abuse]
True,.. the handle is a little big in proportion to the mug it's self.
But it's very workable.
This Mug is REALLY spill proof.
( U can literally fill this, screw the lid on, spin the turnstile to close, turn the mug lid side down and let it sit there, and it will NOT drip one drop ! )
The lid screws on, and the top opens and closes by a turnstile in the center of the lid. (liquid flows from the edges)
Turnstile can be turned in either direction or the same direction over and over.
The top of the lid is marked, so u can see @ a glance open/close.
Colors are great, and don't fade.
Now as far as the guy crying about the grooves inside the lip of the mug used to screw on the top.
1. It's not hard to drink from it that way. It's just not as desirable to use it in that fashion.
2. That's not the way the item was designed to be used. It was designed to be used with the lid. Hence the word "travel".
As far as the "keep it hot" time. I guess the guy that said a little over 1 hour is about right. But I could care less.
I leave mine sit in the morning w/out top, so it will cool to a warm temp. I hate piping hot coffee.
But overall I'd say this keeps the coffee as hot as any other travel mug does. [folks, travel mugs are not built to a thermos level quality]
All in all I would recommend this item to everyone.
[except those who want to keep coffee piping hot for 4-8 hrs. in which case u need a coffee thermos, not a simple coffee mug].
