I find it handy to keep a measuring cup of a preferred size in the (flour, sugar, what-have-you) canister so that it is handy for scooping and measuring. This very solid set fills the bill nicely at a price that can't be beat. Since I store them in individual canisters until needed, I removed and discarded the plastic clip.
